The 33rd Africa House of Prayer Conference 2025

Part 1

A CALL TO AFRICA’S GOLDEN AGE

The 33rd Africa House of Prayer Conference 2025 is currently underway at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA) in Karen, Nairobi, Kenya. This year’s gathering is a pivotal moment for spiritual reflection, prophetic insight, and intercessory prayer for the continent. The conference commenced on Monday at 4 p.m. with the raising of the altar, led by the Chairman, Mr. Emeka. Dr. James Magara followed with a thanksgiving session, acknowledging God’s faithfulness in answering prayers over the past years. He urged attendees to go beyond operating in the first and second heavens and to engage with/in the third heaven—aligning with divine perspective rather than being solely guided by earthly circumstances. (2 Kings 6:16-17) He challenged the audience: Are you truly hearing what God is saying, or are you only focusing on what you see?

Africa’s Prophetic Season: The Time is Now

Day two opened with vibrant praise and worship, setting the stage for a powerful teaching by Mr. Emeka on “Africa’s prophetic season”. The theme of this year’s conference, “Africa’s Season of Economic Recovery, Renewal, and Restoration” is rooted in Leviticus 25, emphasizing the significance of Jubilee.

One of the key messages was that Jubilee is not just an event but a prophetic season. By 2033, many African nations will be marking 70 years of independence. This milestone represents a critical seasonal gate that the continent must not miss. Africa is not just a continent of the future—its time is now!

The Role of Africa in God’s Plan

Pastor Laban reinforced this message by drawing parallels between Africa’s journey and biblical history:

  • God has a plan for nations just as He does for individuals.
  • Africa’s struggles mirror Israel’s time in the wilderness as seen in Judges 21:25: ”In those days there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in his own eyes.” Many African nations face similar challenges today.
  • The need for modern-day Samuels: The biblical prophet Samuel played a crucial role in shifting Israel from the era of the Judges to the establishment of a righteous monarchy. In the same way, Africa needs a new generation of leaders: a Samuel Company—to steer nations into God’s divine purpose.

Learning from the Past: The East African Revival

The East African Revival brought spiritual awakening—churches were planted, and the Holy Spirit moved mightily. However, this was followed by chaos and bloodshed. Why? Because the church did not fully take up the responsibility of discipling nations.

God’s expectation has always been for His people to guide and transform societies. Had the church actively taken on this mandate, the tragic aftermath could have been avoided. The message is clear: We must rise to the challenge and become a Samuel Company that leads Africa into its divine destiny.

A CALL TO AFRICA’S GOLDEN AGE

God has great expectations for Africa. The time has come to embrace Samuel’s strategy and guide the continent into its Golden Age—an era of wisdom, prosperity, and peace, akin to King Solomon’s reign. But even greater news is this: A greater than Solomon is here—our Lord Jesus Christ—who will usher Africa into its promised future!

GOD’S THREE-LIGHTS GUIDANCE SYSTEM

To navigate this divine journey, God has established a ‘three-lights guidance system:

  • Vision & Ministry Alignment: Ensure that your plans align with God’s purpose.
  • The Word of God: Use Scripture as the foundation for all decisions.
  • Supernatural Confirmation: Expect God’s signs to confirm that you are on the right path.

As this conference unfolds, the call is clear: Africa must arise and step boldly into its season of renewal. Will we be the generation that seizes this moment?
